Mike Saunders

Piano tuner Mike Saunders spent 2 years studying piano tuning and technology at the London College of Furniture between 1984 and 1986 before going on to complete his training at the Welmar Piano Factory in Clapham, West London, where he worked for 6 years.

A member of the Piano Tuners' Association, Mike has been working as a freelance piano tuner / technician in Hampshire and Dorset for 25 years, with contracts at a number of schools, churches and music shops. His long list of satisfied customers continues to grow by word of mouth, and includes professional musicians, composers and teachers throughout Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and The New Forest.

Mike is well known for providing honest, professional and reliable service. As a classically trained pianist, you can also expect intuitive understanding of your requirements, for example if the touch or tone of your piano needs alteration, this is all covered by Mike’s wide-ranging piano tuning expertise.

As a musician and composer himself, Mike understands the importance of a well-maintained piano. Mike occasionally plays background music at restaurants or private functions, and you may well have spotted him accompanying the National Children’s Choir, Hampshire County Children’s Choir or Winchester Young Voices on concert platforms around the country, although you are more likely to hear Mike trying out his latest jazz riff when testing your piano after tuning!
